The Dessoff Choirs - James Bagwell, conductor

This performance, in Miller Theatre at Columbia University, features Kurt Weill's daring Das Berliner Requiem with libretto by Bertolt Brecht, a piece originally written for radio in 1928, and Paul Hindemith's boisterous Apparebit Repentina Dies from 1947. Works for women's voices by Bartók round out this unique event for chorus and orchestra.
