The Dessoff Choirs rehearses every Monday evening, roughly between Labor Day and Memorial Day, on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Depending on the performing schedule, Saturday and other daytime rehearsals may also be required.

Dessoff is a dues organization, and members buy their own music. In many seasons, these fees can exceed $200 per member. Dessoff is governed by a Board of Directors selected from the Singing Membership. Members are also expected to sell tickets to concerts, help attract individual, corporate, and foundation donors, and participate fully in the life of the chorus.
